Ministries

The Ministries at Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church have be organized into the Following Categories:

• Deacon Family Ministry has as its primary function to minister to the day to day need of the congregation at Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church, thereby freeing the Pastor to minister in the Word and in Prayer (Acts 6:1-4) 

• Deaconess Ministry has as its primary function to serve as examples of Christian Womanhood to all the women in the church.  To assist the deacons in ministering to the families in the church and be continually in Prayer for the Body of Christ at Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church.

• Music Ministry has as its primary function to be responsible for ministering in music at all worship experiences,  to organize the Praise team, choirs and musicians that we may worship God in Spirit and in Truth and minister in song.  To lead us into worship in the Presence of the Lord. - More

• SPMBC Usher Ministry has as its primary function to protect the worship environment in the sanctuary or at any other location in which the church is engaged in worship, leaders of this ministry are to organize the servant of this ministry and ensure the worship environment is secure with no distractions (walking, talking, etc.)

• Media Ministry has as its primary function to record the worship services duplicate CD’s or DVD’s in order to assist disciples at Saint Peter to Study the Word of God.  Also to coordinate the video screens so that Saint Peter events and information may be shared and that the ministry of the Word may be shared during congregational worship and study.

• Nurses Ministry has as its primary function to assist the Pastor during worship experiences, whether at Saint Peter or at other locations.  Also to assist to whatever degree possible members in physical distress.  In addition to this the Nurses Ministry should participate in the visitation and ministry to the sick.

• Christian Education Ministry has as its primary function to promote the need for and study of the Word of God in the church.  To train and prepare teachers as well as encourage students to participate in Christian Education activities.  To teaching the Christian to observe all things that the Lord has commanded (Matthew 28:20)

• Mother Board Ministry has as its primary function to provide mature examples for Christian Women.  Also to be leaders in the ongoing ministry of Prayer, for the sick, troubled, seeking and the ministry in general.

• Women’s Ministry has as its primary function to Glorify God , to promote the Spiritual growth of all women at the Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church, through teaching fellowship, prayer and mentoring.

• Pastor Aide Ministry has as its primary function to engage in pastoral support activities wherever needed.  Also, to promote specific areas of interest.

• Van Ministry has as its primary function to transport those in need to and from church worship and study activities as well as transport to other worship locations.  Coordinate the use of vans and transport equipment to various locations. 

• Brothers in Christ Ministry has as its primary function to promote the Christian growth of the men of Saint Peter through Bible Study and Fellowship.

• Couples Ministry has as its primary function to promote the Christian growth of couples in Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church through Bible Study and fellowship, this ministry focuses primarily on married and soon to be married couples. 

• Youth Ministry has as its primary function to coordinate and support the activities of the youth at Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church; this includes internal ministries as well as external outreach opportunities.

• Evangelism Ministry has as its primary function to lead through teaching and example the SPMBC into obedience and manifestation of the great commission Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19)

• Courtesy Guild Ministry has as its primary function to welcome visitors, encourage the sick and shut-in and given comfort to bereaved families.

• Administration Ministry has as its primary function to coordinate the church calendar and room assignments for various meetings.

• Culinary Ministry has as its primary function to coordinate, prepare and serve fellowship meals at all of Saint Peter Events whether they are done around worship experiences or special events as well as remote locations as they are affiliated with Saint Peter.

• Security Ministry has as its primary function to is to Provide Security for the members and property of Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church during Worship Experiences and Special Events.  This includes patrolling the parking lot and monitoring whichever building is not in use during the Worship Experiences and Special Events. 

• Birth Month Ministry has as its primary function to provide to provide church-wide functions to enhance the relationships of the membership through fellowship on special times of the year.
